Gas Works Park
pretty cool place… i just don’t understand some of our cities attractions, like isn’t this really an old natural gas refinery that they just didn’t dismantle? sort of like alcatraz in san francisco, i don’t understand why people want to visit a prison.

Hey you missing out on the “2″ new state parks in Highland !! The “WALKWAY OVER THE HUDSON” and the Franny Reese state park, off of Mack’s Lane , close to home.
Talk about ruins , Franny Reese has the remains of 2 million dollar mansions from 1900, all that’s left is pile of rubble, but still is interesting the history.
Charles Roberts was a dentist from late 1800′s , died in 1909
